This is a collections of system patches, files, and libraries for both Windows and Linux. Windows 98SE users only need NetManage ActiveX, and all Linux files have been tested under Slackware 7.0. All Linux tools are freeware.

Windows Files Dial Up Networking 1.3 - Latest version of Microsoft's DUN. Internet Explorer 3.02 patch - This allows IE 3.02 users to upload files to mailservers or webhosts using their on-site controls. NetManage ActiveX Controls - This also contains the .OCX files required by some apps here. This is not beta and will not prompt you saying its expired. This is 3 times larger though. VB5 Runtime Files - VB5 pack. Includes msvbvm50.dll, asycfilt.dll, olepro32.dll, comcat.dll, oleaut32.dll, and stdole2.tlb. VB6 Runtime Files - VB6 files pack. Same as the VB5 pack, but with updated files for VB6 apps, including msvbvm60.dll. Winsock 2.2 setup - Not necessary for OS2 or Win98, but will correct some problems including DOS attacks. Also will allow some programs to run.

Linux Files ALSA Sound Driver - A great alternative to the proprietary OSS. Though not quite as refined, it supports most soundcards with great audio quality, and doesn't cost a cent. ALSA Libraries - These are required to install the ALSA Utilities. ALSA Utilities - These allow you to save sound settings, and includes several other useful tools. ImLib - Useful libraries used by some apps with transparacies.
